Dan Gibson, CBI M&AMI

Dan Gibson, CBI M&AMI

Mr. Gibson is the President of Exit Equity and a Merger and Acquisition Master Intermediary, providing 37 years of business experience. His career started at Xerox PARC, where many of the technology products of today initially were developed and sold worldwide, then continued in the technology manufacturing IPO stage with Fortune Systems, participating in a $140 million raise.

Mr. Gibson ended his public company career working for Dell Computer, negotiating large-scale integration projects. He has general business experience, in addition to early stage IPO's; various technology manufacturing; complex contract management and negotiations, and most recently, 17 years in the merger & acquisition industry focusing on privately-held lower to mid market companies whose transactions cover a wide range of industry types, including various industries' niche products and services.

Mr. Gibson graduated from East Central University in Oklahoma with a BS degree in Biology and Chemistry and performed post-graduate work in management at the Xerox Management Institute.

Mr. Coe's business career spans 30 years, primarily built around helping small and medium sized, private companies grow and develop post acquisition or pre sale. Early on experience included industrial and medical sales in dynamic environments working with small to medium sized clients.

Transitioning into media and publishing in the mid 1980's and subsequently the Internet arena, Mr. Coe was a central figure in the execution of numerous acquisitions that built a single market company into a national media firm with thirteen markets. Subsequent experience included leading a turn around effort in Seattle that revived a declining media property and produced a 680% increase in profitability over four years, contributing to the successful sale of the company. Prior to his M&A activities, Mr. Coe served as a Principal of Terrell M. Coe and Associates, a firm providing operations and performance improvement in the media and small business environment.

Mr. Coe is a graduate of the Mason School of Business at The College of William and Mary in Virginia and also holds an MBA degree from University o North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a resident of Mercer Island, Washington where he lives with his wife and two sons, serves on several community Boards of Directors including most recently as President of Mercer Island Little League.

Mr. Simpson began his 40 year career in manufacturing management for General Electric in Aviation and Electronic products.  His experience in private held and publicly traded companies includes: consulting, negotiating, turnarounds, operations, development, general business brokerage, and small and mid-cap mergers and acquisitions. 

In his post corporate file, he founded Competitive Edge a consulting firm launching four successful privately held businesses.  Currently, as a business intermediary and business broker for small and lower mid-cap privately companies, he specializes in merger and acquisition, divistiture, and re-capitalization for his clients.  His corporate management experience has given him qualified expertise in operational analysis, business planning and packaging companies for sale.

Mr. Simpson holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University and post-graduate certifications specializing in negotiation from Harvard Business School.  His MBA is granted by Barry and Xavier Universities, with emphasis on Finance and Marketing.

Mr. Rayani has been a business intermediary for over 21 years and is nationally recognized for accomplishing the successful transfer of companies to new owners in the small and mid-size business market.  He has been awarded a National Platinum, - a Gold, - Silver and Bronze Victory Award on several occasions.  These National Victory Awards are the highest awards given out by well-known nationally recognized Business Intermediary Company.

Noordin has direct business ownership experiences as the owner of several businesses in the distribution, mail order, wholesale, and retail, import / export, food and service industries – fourteen in all.  The geographical locations encompass the United States, Scotland, Canada, and Africa over his career.  He speaks five languages which allows him to communicate with many clients directly.

This firsthand experience of buying and selling his own companies gives Noordin a special understanding of the concerns, emotions and turmoil facing a seller.  This experience plus the 28 successful transactions currently completed gives him the knowledge and credibility to guide, support and represent his clients in all aspects of the transaction – from the engagement through the closing.

Mr. Rayani is a resident of Bothell, Washington where he lives with his wife having served in the Washington area as a business intermediary for 21 years.

Mr. Rogstad began his career as a financial analyst with the HW Blackstock Co. in 1981. He founded Duroboat Company, and as President managed the company, selling it in 2001. Mr. Rogstad provides valuation and financial consulting for our mergers & acquisitions firm specializing in manufacturing, service, and distribution companies in the small to mid-size range. His real-world perspective enhances the business valuation practice as a result of 20 years of experience in construction and manufacturing and 5 years of experience dealing with valuation issues in the M&A industry.

Mr. Rogstad holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, a Masters of Business Administration/ Finance from Washington State University, and an Accredited Valuation Analyst for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysis serving the divestiture, merger & acquisition industry.

Mr. Kurtz provides a readiness assessment, CFO oversight and hands-on financial support for Exit Equity's client, as well as, his other clients and entities. This process is an in-depth review of the financial attributes of the business and provides the clients, EEQ and potential buyers' accurate and adjusted information about what's going on in terms of financial performance. This requires going through a copy of the accounting system, understanding the accounting system itself, straightening out numbers; doing adjustments and creating reports so our clients can clearly communicate to anyone who would want to enter into a relationship - be it a new or renewed credit facility, a re-capitalization for growth or an acquirer who is interested in validating a valuation and making a purchasing decision. Typical comments from our clients are something like... "I sure wish we had done this a lot sooner!"

Over the recent past Mr. Kurtz has provided his skills as a professional Business Coach/ Part time CFO for owners helping them grow profits, become stronger financially, and oversees their accounting departments through his firm Prism Solutions, LLC.

Prior to that his professional corporate career has been as a VP of Sales and Operations of a multi plant, multi sales terminal, trucking, rail operation covering 10 western states; CFO/ Controller for a private company and CPA auditor with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Kurtz has a Bachelor in Science of Business Administration with honors from the University of Montana, CPA certifications and served in the US Navy.
